UH Manoa College of Education hosts benefit concert

As the new Fall 2009 semester gets under way on August 24, the UH Mānoa College of Education is throwing a "Back to School Beat the Blues Benefit Bash" concert.

Attendees are encouraged to bring picnic meals, lawn chairs, or blankets to hang out on the lawn. Snacks will be available. This is a drug- and alcohol-free event.

Admission is a donation at the door (in any amount — cash, check, or credit card) to
support the UH Mānoa College of Education or the University Laboratory School partnership.

WHAT: Benefit concert for UH Mānoa College of Education and University Laboratory School

WHEN: Saturday, August 29

TIME: 5-8 p.m.

5-6 p.m. Listen to the smooth sounds of ML Plate Lunch and the Bentos with the Curriculum Research and Development Group‘s own Mark Lindberg on drums, and Eldred Ahlo on trumpet, Ikaika Tecson on keyboards, and Henry Roberson on bass.

6-8 p.m. Rock to the sounds of Friends of Adam, Honolulu‘s hottest blues trio. Enjoy the electric guitar talents of Clayton Campania, described by Honolulu Magazine as someone who "channels Jimi Hendrix and Stevie Ray Vaughan." Also featuring Ernie Ecraela on bass and Justin Inocelda on drums.
