Six high school students named finalists in UH West Oahu flyer contest
Online voting to determine grand-prize winner
University of Hawaiʻi-West OʻahuMore than 250 high school students from around the State of Hawaiʻi entered the second annual UH West Oʻahu Flyer Contest for a chance to win an iPod Touch and an opportunity to get their work published in the Honolulu Star-Bulletin and MidWeek. Participants were asked to create a flyer that promotes UH West Oʻahu as a top choice for college-bound students and incorporate a unique advertising headline.
The finalists are:
- Ahndiana Flores, James Campbell High School
- Leah Hashimoto, King Kekaulike High School
- AnnaRae Kahala, Kahuku High and Intermediate School
- Michael Pangilinan, Kapolei High School
- Daryl Sanbei, Leilehua High School
- Christina Yarbrough, Waipahu High School
The general public is invited to vote for the grand-prize winner, who will have his/her design published in the Honolulu Star-Bulletin and MidWeek. To vote, visit uhwo.hawaii.edu/flyercontest. Online voting begins on March 13 and ends March 31 at 11:59 p.m. HST. The grand-prize winner will be announced in April.
