WHAT:UH West Oʻahu kicks-off the new year with a ground blessing ceremony marking the historic moment when the university takes its first step toward construction of a permanent new campus, an event more than 30 years in the making. Kahu Kordell Kekoa will offer a blessing followed by a reception and opportunity for media interviews with public and university officials.


The ceremony will be streamed live on the web at www.uhwo.hawaii.edu/newcampus. The event is open to invited guests only.

WHEN:Wednesday, Jan. 14, 10:30 a.m.
WHERE:Just off North-South Road, near its intersection with Farrington Hwy., in the City of Kapolei
