High school students to showcase art talent, vie for prizes in UH West O'ahu Flyer Contest

Hawaiʻi high school students are invited to put their creativity to the test by entering UH West Oʻahu‘s 2nd Annual Flyer Contest. Selected finalists will receive one of five iPod Touches. Designs promoting UH West Oʻahu as a top choice for college-bound students are due by February 20. Online voters and a panel of judges will select a grand prize winner from the top five finalists at www.uhwo.hawaii.edu in March. The winning design will then be published in the May/June issue of Sassy/G Magazine, a bi-monthly Hawaiʻi teen publication.

Contest guidelines and details are as follows:

Design Guidelines: · Must use appropriate graphic elements and wording.· Document size should be 8.5" x 9.5" (1.5" area reserved for UH West Oʻahu logo and contact information placed by UH West Oʻahu)Required Flyer Text: · UH West Oʻahu· Four-year university· Lowest baccalaureate tuition in the state· Small classes· Career-related degree programs The flyer should also include an appropriate advertising message or headline and UH West Oʻahu school colors red and black.Entry Submission: Entries should be submitted with the student‘s full name, school, grade level, phone number and email address. · Email PDF files to uhwoflyercontest@uhwo.hawaii.edu or· Mail original artwork to UH West Oʻahu Flyer Contest, 96-129 Ala Ike, Pearl City, HI 96782.For more information about the UH West Oʻahu Flyer Contest, email uhwoflyercontest@uhwo.hawaii.edu or call 454-4750.
