U.S. News & World Report ranks Shidler College of Business among the nation's top international business programs for 2009

HONOLULU — "We truly believe that students‘ exposure to international business enhances their overall business perspective," said V. Vance Roley, dean of the Shidler College of Business, referring to the latest release of U.S. News & World Report survey of Best Business School for 2009. The Shidler College of Business at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa undergraduate program was ranked 19th in International Business along with top business schools such as Berkeley, University of Michigan, New York University and University of Pennsylvania. Of the public schools, Shidler College of Business is ranked 13th on the list.

"We are honored to be ranked among the top business schools in the nation," said Roley. "We worked extremely hard to deliver quality education throughout all of our programs. With the support of our alumni and business community, we will continue to focus our efforts on program development, faculty research and student programs that reflects our strong emphasis on Asia-Pacific business."

Currently, there are over 900 undergraduate business students enrolled at the Shidler College of Business this fall. The College‘s undergraduate program in international business has been consistently ranked in the top 25 of the U.S. News & World Report of Best Colleges for the past decade.

The ranking is based on an annual survey of business deans and senior faculty from AACSB International (Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business) accredited programs.
