Maui residents earn bachelor's degrees from UH West Oʻahu via distance learning

A partnership between the UH Center Maui and the University of Hawaiʻi - West Oʻahu (UHWO) offers Maui residents a variety of Bachelor‘s degrees via distance learning options such as interactive television, cable, or online. Summer session schedules and registration deadlines are as follows: Summer Session I First day of instruction - May 27 Registration start date for new students* - May 21 Registration deadline for no late fee - May 26 Summer Session II First day of instruction - July 7 Registration start date for new students* - May 21 Registration deadline for no late fee - July 6 Fall 2008 First day of instruction - August 25 Registration start date for new students*- August 19 Registration deadline for no late fee - August 24 * Registration start dates are different for current students. Current students should refer to Registration Bulletin. Degree programs include: Business Administration (Areas of concentration: General Business, Accounting) Social Science (Areas of concentration: Political Science, Early Childhood Education) Public Administration (Area of concentration: Healthcare AdministrationIn addition, certificate programs are available in Disaster Preparedness and Emergency Management, Health Care Administration, and Substance Abuse and Addictions Studies. The UH West Oʻahu summer and fall 2008 schedule is available online at http://www.uhwo.hawaii.edu/schedule. The classes delivered via distance learning are labeled "ONLINE" or "ITV AT UH MANOA" in the room column. UH West Oʻahu Academic Advisor LeeAnne Santos will be available to meet with current UHWO students on Tuesday, June 17th and Tuesday, August 12th at the UH Center Maui, located at Maui Community College‘s Laulima building in room 216 (310 W. Last fall, UH West Oʻahu became a four-year, comprehensive university when it served its first class of freshmen. The University offers quality education, small classes and personalized attention at convenient locations. A new campus in the City of Kapolei is scheduled to serve students in fall 2010.
