With the additional support from Young Brothers and Maui Petroleum and Hawaii Petroleum companies, the College will be able to continue attracting quality students living and working on the Neighbor Islands."

"We are committed to supporting the development of business professionals on the Neighbor Islands," said Young Brothers and Hawaiian Tug & Barge President Glenn Hong. "We believe the Neighbor Island MBA program will transform lives and inspire young professionals to take on leadership roles in their
communities."

"Our businesses operate on the islands of Maui and Hawaiʻi, and we are very excited and proud to support the Neighbor Island MBA program," said Kimo Haynes, president of Maui Petroleum and Hawaii Petroleum, and Minit Stop. "I believe education is the great equalizer when it comes to career opportunities, and this is a great chance for students that live in our communities to further their education."

In 2006, the NIMBA Young Brothers / Hawaiian Tug & Barge Scholarship Fund provided approximately 10 scholarships to students participating in the Neighbor Island MBA program. Scholarship recipients must be Neighbor Island residents and will be chosen based on their grade point average and financial
need.

The Neighbor Island MBA program is a three-year, part-time, AACSB-accredited MBA program geared toward individuals who have shown leadership or management potential. The goal of the program is to provide participants with a competitive edge in analytical, human resource and decision-making skills for a managerial position within today's dynamic global economy. The NIMBA program enables students to expand their business perspectives, build professional networks and earn their MBA degrees—all without
leaving home. For more information on the NIMBA program please visit www.shidler.hawaii.edu.
