ʻImiloa Astronomy Center‘s monthly "Maunakea Skies" evening planetarium program will be hosted by Dr. Richard Crowe, Astronomer in Resident, on Saturday, May 31 at 7 p.m. The evening‘s guest speaker will be Dr. Scott Fisher from Gemini Observatory, who will take the audience on a tour of the Orion Nebula. Dr. Fisher will give a basic overview of what the nebula is, why we can see it so well, and what is happening there right now. Projecting images and data from many telescopes including those on top Maunakea, Dr. Fisher with his passionate exuberance will spark discussions and entertain participants throughout the evening.
