UH Manoa to host presentation on managing campus crises

Virginia Tech‘s director of counseling is making a public presentation on campus crisis management on Tuesday, April 29, at 1:30-4:30 p.m. at UH Mānoa‘s Campus Center Ballroom. Also participating is Lehigh University‘s director of counseling.

Christopher Flynn, Ph.D., is director of the Thomas E. Cook Counseling Center at Virginia Tech, whose specialties include crisis intervention and substance abuse. He directed the mental health response to the Virginia Tech shooting last April and has recently been a consultant to the faculty, staff and students at Northern Illinois University.

Dr. Flynn and Dr. Ian Birky, Lehigh University‘s Director of Counseling and Psychological Services, will speak on "Reflections on Campus Crises and Their Management."
