The discussion will take place on Tuesday, April 29, 2008 at the Law School Classroom 2 and courtyard from 5:30 — 6:30 p.m., with the courtyard book signing and reception to follow until 7 p.m. RSVP by April 22, 2008 at 956-6857 or lawevents@hawaii.edu.

Conway Jones' two publications are practical oriented for both the student and practitioner. The 2006 publication, with 2007 supplement, Intellectual Property, Software and Information Licensing: Law and Practice, provides the information and tools to help practitioners strategize comprehensive licensing arrangements, rectify existing problems, maximize returns within the legal boundaries, anticipate new concerns and avoid potential pitfalls. The most recent publication, Licensing Intellectual Property: Law and Application, is a streamlined and highly accessible casebook on the law of licensing and application of licensing in practice - from the global to the particular.

Conway Jones is a professor of law at the William S. Richardson School of Law and director of the UH Procurement Institute at the University of Hawai'i at Mānoa. She was recently the 2008 Godfrey Visiting Scholar at the University of Maine School of Law; 2007 - 2008 Visiting E.K. Gubin Professor of Government Contracts Law at the George Washington University Law School, and the 2006 -2007 Fulbright Senior Scholar at La Trobe University in Melbourne, Australia.
