Pearl Harbor is expecting a huge exodus from its federal workforce in the next 5-10 years and the job fair is designed to minimize the effects of this situation. It is also anticipated that the workload will substantially increase when deployed vessels return from the current conflicts.

In addition to personnel from the shipyard at the Job Fair, there will be representatives from Honolulu Community College promoting various programs and services at the college.
