The Health Promotion Office of University Health Services at UH Mānoa is excited to announce the 2008 Condom Fair on Valentine‘s Day, Thursday, February 14th, from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the UH Mānoa Campus Center Mall. The Health Promotion Office anticipates approximately 3,000 students to attend this year‘s Condom Fair.

The purpose of the Condom Fair is to promote a healthier lifestyle, through not only the appropriate and consistent use of condoms, but also through healthy sexual decision-making and communication. The Condom Fair is not meant to promote sexual activity, however, for students who do choose to be sexually active, condoms are the safest way to protect against sexually transmitted infections and unintended pregnancies.

The Condom Fair 2008 aims to educate students about healthy relationships in a fun and relaxed atmosphere.

Community and UH Mānoa campus organization volunteers will help educate students and provide games and prizes. This year‘s participants include Planned Parenthood, Kulia Na Mamo, the Sex Abuse Treatment Center, the Waikiki Health Center, Passion Parties, and more. The Condom Fair 2008 will have educational interactive games including a condom race and "Pin the Condom on Jack," with prizes and giveaways such as gift cards, condoms, lubricant, candy, and other fun Valentine‘s Day items.
