HONOLULU — The University of Hawaiʻi (UH) System held discussions during the fall 2007 semester at UH campuses and university centers to update its System strategic plan, which expires in 2010. Based on input received from the UH community and the public, the University‘s administration developed a companion piece to the plan that assigns strategic priorities and performance measures and extends the plan to 2015.

The update to the plan, which pertains to the future direction of the university through 2015, seeks to strategically position the university to meet the needs of the state. The University of Hawaiʻi is the only public institution of post-secondary education in Hawaiʻi.

The UH community and general public are encouraged to review the draft strategic priorities and performance measures and submit their comments. Information on the update to the plan and a discussion board are available at www.hawaii.edu/ovppp/uhplan/.

In addition, two presentations on the UH System‘s draft strategic priorities and performance measures will be held in 2008. The first presentation is for members of the UH community on January 18, 1:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. through Polycom at the following sites:
