The University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa and Herman Frazier recognize that in the best interests of the athletics program, UH Mānoa will buy out Mr. Frazier‘s contract which expires on July 31, 2010, for the sum of $312,510, in accordance with his Appointment Agreement.

The details of the agreement are yet to be finalized and require the approval of the Board of Regents.

Mānoa Chancellor Virginia Hinshaw intends to recommend to the Board the appointment of Associate Athletics Director Carl Clapp as Acting Athletic Director. Until the Board acts, Clapp will be handling the day-to-day operations of the Athletics Department, including working with the administration to secure a new head football coach.

An advertisement for the position of Head Football Coach has been posted today in the UH employment website: http://workatuh.hawaii.edu/zoom_job.php?8847
