KANEʻOHE— The bonsai is a thing of beauty and a joy forever, as believed by bonsai master Walter Liew. He goes on to say, "It is a living art, and unfinished art... bonsai can go on forever."

In a rare opportunity to learn how to create and care for your own bonsai from a true master of the art, Windward Community College is offering an eight-week course taught by master Liew, himself. Every Tuesday evening from 6 - 8 p.m. starting from September 18 to November 6, you will learn the history and true meaning of bonsai, the type of plants that are suitable, and the many techniques used to create the beautiful living art of bonsai. The cost of the eight-week course, "The Art of Bonsai," is $95 and includes one plant.
