A female student residing in Hale Aloha Mokihana reported that at about 5:50 a.m. Sunday, August 19, 2007, she was the victim of a sexual assault and burglary in her dormitory room.

She reported that an unknown male entered her room while she was sleeping. When she awoke she saw he had a pair of scissors that he pushed against her face causing a small cut. He then grabbed her inappropriately, thereby committing sexual assault. She screamed, fought back, and he ran out of the room.Subsequently, a check of the room revealed that her wallet and its contents were missing. HPD is actively investigating this incident. The victim was unable to see the suspect well enough to provide a description.

On Saturday, August 18, 2007, sometime between 2:00 and 5:00 a.m. a similar burglary, without the sex assault, occurred in the same Mokihana residence dorm.

Campus Security is requesting that all residents be aware and take precautions to insure that you lock your door at all times.

Also, report any suspicious people or activities immediately to Residence Hall Staff and Campus Security.
