HONOLULU - Expect traffic congestion in the UH Manoa area on Thursday and Friday as more than 3,000 students move into campus dormitories in preparation for the start of fall semester on August 20.

Freshmen students begin moving into the Hale Aloha Towers - Ilima, Lehua, Lokelani and Mokihana.- starting at 9 a.m. Thursday. Other student residence halls used mainly by upper classmen will be occupied later in the day Thursday, continuing through Friday.

UH Manoa‘s new Chancellor, Virginia S. Hinshaw, will be at Hale Aloha from 11 a.m. on Thursday to greet students and families.

Vehicular traffic will be heavy along Dole Street and into the dorm access road throughout the day. Priority for drop-off and parking will be for students and those helping to deliver and unload.
