Public presentations by Manoa chancellor candidates scheduled

HONOLULU — University of Hawaiʻi students, faculty and staff, and the general community are invited to meet and hear from the four candidates for the UH Mānoa chancellor position at upcoming public presentations.

The presentations, which will focus on the subject of leadership, are scheduled as follows:

  • Carol Tomlinson-Keasey, Professor and former Chancellor, University of California, Merced

    Tuesday, Feb. 20 — 3:30 to 4:30 p.m.

    School of Architecture Auditorium


  • Yash P. Gupta, Professor and former Dean and Robert R. Dockson Chair, Marshall School of Business, University of Southern California

    Thursday, Feb. 22 — 3:30 to 4:30 p.m.

    School of Architecture Auditorium


  • Reed W. Dasenbrock, Provost and Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs, University of New Mexico

    Monday, Feb. 26 — 3:30 to 4:30 p.m.

    School of Architecture Auditorium


  • Virginia S. Hinshaw, Provost and Executive Vice Chancellor, University of California, Davis

    Thursday, March 1 — 1:30 to 2:30 p.m.

    Art Auditorium



Faculty, staff, students and the general public are also invited to submit comments regarding the chancellor candidates to uhmchan@hawaii.edu. Comments received will be submitted to UH President David McClain for consideration in the selection of a candidate to recommend for final approval to the UH Board of Regents.
