Honoring the Legacy

The Kapi‘olani Community College Lama Library presents an exhibit honoring the 100th Battalion/442 Regimental Combat Team, the celebrated Japanese American fighting unit of World War II, March 24–April 17.

The exhibit commemorates their 65th anniversary and features artifacts and memorabilia from the 442nd Veterans Club Archive and Learning Center, as well as special displays on the 442nd Antitank Company, 232nd Combat Engineers, 442nd Medics, and 522nd Artillery.

On March 28, there will be a reception for nisei veterans including a presentation on digital storytelling and the Hawai‘i Nisei Story website, a panel discussion with 100th/442nd RCT veterans, and a performance of Okage Sama De by Alton Chung.
