Collection Drive for Victims of Domestic Violence

October 16, 12:00pm - 3:00pm
Mānoa Campus, Campus Center

What: Annual Domestic Violence Shelter Drive.

Each year, the Women's Center and PAU Violence Program collaborate to host this shelter drive to collect usable items for families at domestic violence shelters on Oahu.

We ask that any toiletries donated are new and all other donations are still usable. We may be able to take non-perishable food, as long as they are still good for consumption.

Who: This year, donations from the drive will go to the Parents And Children Together (PACT) Ohia Shelter.

Why: Families that have to stay at the shelter often are unable to bring many of their belongings with them. Anything from essentials like toiletries and footwear, to items that bring a sense of normalcy, like board games or pots and pans. The shelter is a temporary service and the goal is that these families are able to leave their current situations to live in safer homes. They will need many of these items even after leaving the shelter.
