Inside the Ethnic Studies Studio...Featuring OSNA

October 23, 12:00pm - 1:15pm
Mānoa Campus, Webster Hall 113

This session will feature Osna, a popular Hawai‘i-based DJ, rapper, and producer who has worked on numerous musical projects. He is also 1/4 of the Hawai‘i rap supergroup, Angry Locals, whose albums include Aloha From Hawaii, Shaka to da Neck Mixtape, The Los Wages Tour, and Locals Only. His solo projects include U Already No and U Already No Part 2 (I Thot U Knew). Osna is widely recognized as an accomplished music producer and known for his witty rhymes and punch lines in his battle raps (he can be seen in the local battle rap circuit and on national stages like Grind Time Now). His work as a DJ has taken him and his artistry to new levels and locales – he just returned to the islands after recent tours with Common Kings and Justin Timberlake. In the presentation, Osna will speak about his work as an emcee, DJ, and producer in Hawai‘i and beyond.
