Austronesian Formal Linguistics Association (AFLA) is an organization which promotes the study of languages belonging to the Austronesian family from a formal linguistic perspective. AFLA invites talks on all aspects of formal linguistics (e.g. language acquisition, morphology, phonology, phonetics, semantics, syntax) of Austronesian languages and especially encourages work by speaker-linguists and by junior scholars.
