Have you ever dreamed about becoming an oceanographer for a day? Have you wondered what a real meteorite from Mars looks like, or what the scientists see when they are in a submersible 6,000 feet underwater?
On Friday, October 25 and Saturday, October 26, 2013 you will have the opportunity to learn about these topics and more at the 12th biennial SOEST Open House.
Hosted by the School of Ocean and Earth Science and Technology at the University of Hawai‘i at Manoa, university faculty, students and staff will share their knowledge of ocean, earth, atmosphere, and space sciences through entertaining and educational hands-on activities that are guaranteed to be fun for the whole family! Come learn about volcanoes, tsunamis, planetary exploration, coral reefs, alternative energy, and sailing canoes, to name just a few.
