Weinstein Conversation Series: "Medical Ethics"

Featuring Rick Fried, J.D., Founding Member, Cronin, Fried, Sekiya, Kekina & Fairbanks; Dr. Jerris Hedges, Dean, John A. Burns School of Medicine, University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa; and Dr. Scott Sims, Doctor of Veterinary Medicine, Kauai, Hawai‘i.
The panel will focus on the ethical dilemma of the hypocratic oath "First Do No Harm" and the business of medicine.
This lecture is part of the 2013 William K. Weinstein Conversation Series of six lectures focusing on the ethical issues and related decision making models that arise in discrete industries in which lawyers practice.
Each symposium provides a plenary overview of the ethical obligations and challenges facing clients as well as lawyers in the particular industry.
As an added benefit for Hawai‘i’s lawyers, each session is eligible for 1.5 Mandatory Continuing Professional Education (MCPE) credits for attorneys licensed in the state of Hawai‘i, in compliance with Hawai‘i State Supreme Court Rule 22. (Limited seating is available for each lecture.)
Parking is $6 after 4 p.m. on the UH Mānoa campus.
