Entertainment Advertising: How to Sell Your Film to the Audience

Erik Ries shares his experiences working in New York City and Los Angeles creating visually arresting entertainment campaigns to sell films to local, regional, national and global audiences while keeping it inline with marketing objectives. Erik elaborates on the industry as a whole, giving visual examples of effective campaigns created by award-winning agencies for major studio releases.

Erik Ries is the design director for Honolulu Magazine and the founder and creative director for ETC.STUDIOS, a boutique graphic communications company specializing in total visual brand management across all mediums. Erik has worked in entertainment advertising since 1998 while gaining his master degree in communication design from Pratt Institute. His experience spans agencies in New York City to Los Angeles with work on both independent films and major motion picture campaigns, home entertainment packaging and online marketing.
