Distinguished Lecture: Charles A. Hall

The University of Hawaii Manoa Distinguished Lecture Series will sponsor a free public lecture on the economic impact of rising energy costs by Syracuse University Professor Charles A.S. Hall.

The address, "The Need for a Biophysical Approach to Economics and Some Implications for Hawai‘i,” is scheduled for Wednesday, January 9, 2013, at 3:30 p.m. in the Architecture Auditorium..

Dr. Hall, the author of Energy and the Wealth of Nations: Understanding the Biophysical Economy, will explain why economic models provide unreliable forecasts for the future of civilization.
