An Okinawan Sense of Place

Jon Shirota, author of the 1965 bestselling novel LUCKY COME HAWAII and several plays, is joined by Joyce Chinen, of UH-West Oahu; Katsunori Yamazato, of the University of the Ryukyus; and Christine Yano, of UH-Manoa. They will talk about the Okinawan sense of place in Shirota's award-winning work. This talk is an official Homecoming event for UH-Manoa alumni.
