LEED for NewConstruction-Technical Review Workshop

Aloha all,
On October 24, 2008 from 8:30am-5:00pm the Sustainable Living Institute of Maui (SLIM) will co-host a LEED for New Construction (NC) technical review workshop on the Maui Community College campus. The workshop will be held in the Multi-purpose room of the Pilina Building, 310 Kaahumanu Avenue, Kahului 96732.
The LEED® for New Construction Rating System is designed to guide and distinguish high-performance commercial and institutional projects, including office buildings, high-rise residential buildings, government buildings, recreational facilities, manufacturing plants and laboratories.

The Learning Objectives for this workshop are:
After completing this course, you will be able to:
• Identify the technical requirements of LEED for New Construction & Major Renovations
• Develop an understanding of how LEED is being used nationally to define various levels of green project design
• Use the tools, information, and lessons learned from case studies to incorporate green building practices into a project
• Prepare for the Accreditation Exam using sample questions and answers.
*This course does not guarantee a passing score on the LEED AP Exam
