Laulima - Intro to Course Management Systems

This is the first workshop in the Laulima Development series and it will go over everything you need to know prior to even considering using Laulima or any other type of online course management system. This session will go over the following: Copyright Law for the Education Sector including Fair Use, the Digital Millenium Copyright Act and the Teach Act. We will also go in depth into Web 2.0 technologies, what they are and how they evolved. This background will be of benefit to you to understand as Laulima incorporates many of these Web 2.0 tools. The workshop ends with a brief intro to the Laulima system.
