October 31, 2:30pm - 4:00am
Mānoa Campus, Saunders 624 Add to Calendar

Presented by Dr. Rohan Kalyan from Verginia Tech, this talk shares some of the findings from visual research conducted over the past six years in the city of New Delhi. It uses digital images (both still and moving) to think through contemporary problems and possibilities related to urbanism, democratic politics and economic restructuring in India in general and New Delhi in particular. Finally, it puts for an argument for creative and critical methodologies for studying the visible and invisible dimensions of postcolonial urban life in the twenty-first century.

Friday, October 31
