Sustainability Festival in Honor of Earth Day

OPEN AIR ECO-MARKETPLACE, FREE RECYCLING DRIVE, and LIVE ENTERTAINMENT ALL DAY LONG!

Enjoy great music and food as you peruse more than 100 socially- and environmentally-conscious merchants, businesses, artists and organizations. Get with the latest technologies and innovation, check out the Eco Fashion show, get hands-on with worm composting, view recycled art, enjoy delicious food, shop at the farmers market, listen to the latest bands and entertainment, learn energy saving tips, take part in raffles for great prizes, participate in free yoga classes, and more, as we showcase the latest sustainability initiatives in Hawai’i.

FREE RECYCLING DRIVE/LIGHTBULB SWAP- Bring recycling to Krauss Lawn next to Andrews Amphitheater. Sustainable UH students will collect all recyclables for free such as HI 5: glass, plastic, and aluminum, paper including glossy, phonebooks, magazines, and all electronic waste (Ewaste), which includes printers, fax machines, computers and more. No t.v.s or microwaves please. Bring your old light bulbs to the Sustainable UH booth and we will switch them to energy efficient CFLs for free. Limit 5 per household.

ZERO WASTE- It is our pleasure to announce that this is a zero waste event so please bring your own shopping bag, water bottle, plate, and cutlery for discounts off food. Water refill stations will be provided throughout the event.

CALL FOR VOLUNTEERS:
