Culinary Regional ChampionshipMay 27, Kapi‘olani — The culinary Team Hawai‘i wins the American Culinary Federation Student Team Western Regional Championship and will compete for the national title. ImagiNations Semi-FinalistsMay 19, Manoa — Kendyll Doi, Kent Salcedo, Stacy Takeshita and Megan Terawaki are named semi-finalists in the Walt Disney ImagiNations competition with their live-data feed mobile device.

New Degree Roundup
The University of Hawai‘i at Manoa, Leeward Community College and Hawai‘i Community College offer new academic programs for students.
- The Shidler College of Business at Manoa will offer an undergraduate major in entrepreneurship designed to prepare students with the skills and knowledge to start their own businesses. Read the News@UH story.
- Leeward established an associate of arts in teaching degree. The 62-credit degree program prepares students for employment as educational assistants or advancement to a baccalaureate program in elementary, special education or secondary education. Read the News@UH story.
- An associate in sciences and the certificate of achievement in fire sciences program was approved at Hawai‘i Community College. The program will help support the recruitment and promotion requirements of the County of Hawai‘i Fire Department. Read the News@UH story.
