Donnalyn Kalei is an instructor in the Administration of Justice program. Students are inspired by her skills as a multi-faceted teacher, a caring mentor and an innovative and progressive educator.

Kalei designed and created the curriculum for the Substance Abuse Certificate Program, and has been a leader in developing online classes.

She has also served as an advisor for student organizations, inspiring them to give back to their communities and to become lifelong learners.

The Regents’ Medal for Excellence in Teaching is awarded by the Board of Regents as tribute to faculty members who exhibit an extraordinary level of subject mastery and scholarship, teaching effectiveness and creativity and personal values that benefit students. The board also awards the Regents’ Medal for Excellence in Research.
