Lorri Taniguchi

Lorri Taniguchi is a registered professional nurse in the student services department at Honolulu Community College. She is an active participant and leader on campus. Taniguchi works diligently to improve the campus with a positive outlook, integrity, an approachable manner and attention to detail.

Taniguchi has participated in the Health and Safety Committee, Emergency Planning Subcommittee, Health and Wellness Committee and Committee on Disability Access. She is a conscientious committee member who contributes her ideas and unselfishly gives her time to ensure that any event or activity planned is well done.

Students, faculty and staff members comment on Taniguchi’s warm, caring and nurturing demeanor. Not only does she handle the initial concern, such as an injury, she also follows through on her own to make sure that the individual is fine long after leaving her office.

The Honolulu Community College Chancellor’s Award recognizes a civil service or administrative, professional and technical employee for outstanding demonstrated work performance, service, leadership and/or fostering of excellence in higher education.
