Regents Scholarship
The Board of Regents established the Regents Scholarships to support students with a record of outstanding academic achievement. Twenty scholarships will be awarded every year.
Regents Scholarships are awarded to 20 outstanding freshmen who receive an SAT combined score of at least 1950 on all three sections of the test or ACT combined score of at least 29, maintain at least a 3.5 GPA in academic subjects in high school, and whose extracurricular achievements are shown to be remarkable.
Each scholar will receive a full tuition scholarship and a stipend of $2,000 per semester, plus a one-time travel grant of up to $2,000. The scholarship is renewable for a total term of eight consecutive semesters, providing that eligibility is maintained. Regents Scholars may be enrolled at any campus of the University of Hawaii.
